This is Our 1986 Monte Carlo SS. Very nice car now. I painted it HOK candy. I mixed Apple Red and Brandywine. Over Diamont base. Used seven or eight different colors of base in the fade, flames and stripes. The car glows like only a real candy can. I added the 22's recently, was running Weld Superlites, just wanted a different look. This car was built to drive...Cold air, power everything works good, overdrive trans with 3.73 gears makes it purr down the road. Very comfortable driver.
Bigger rear tires were added since these pics, now has 295/30/22 Pirelli. This is the view of hand laid checkered rally stripes on the hood.
Under the hood.
Real 400 small block. Fresh motor with a 500 lift cam, 2.02 heads with scew in studs and guide plates, roller rockers, 9.2:1 compression. Has a polished dual plane intake, billet valve covers, race prepped 750 carb by RED racing products, K&N filter, lots of ARP bolts, Coolflex hoses including heater hoses, headers with true duals and 40 series Flowmasters all the way out the back. Lots of detail and time. The entire core support, fan shroud, brackets, bottles, and breather top have all been airbrushed with the candy red and "real" flames like the interior. This car runs and sounds as good as it looks. Very fast, has no problem turning the 12 inch wide rear tires.
All new interior from top to bottom. Black Race seats with carbon fiber inserts and race style harrnesses. Door panels and rear seat to match fronts. new headliner, carpet and dash. All trim inside is black. Was a factory bucket seat, floor shift, console car. Has tilt, power windows and locks, Ice cold A/C with all new compressor and drier less than 200 miles ago. Has lots of custom air brush work inside (see pics) "real" flames with more Candy Red on the console, dash insert, gauges and radio surround.
Look for more pictures soon. |
